situated between Interstate 95, Route 1, and Route 128, Norwood
Memorial Airport Allows quick access into Boston, just 15 miles
away, Worcester, Providence, Rhode Island, and the Massachusetts
Turnpike. Less than 2 miles from several of the Massachusetts
Bay Transit Authority rail lines, Norwood is a true intermodal
location. The close proximity of Norwood Memorial to many
sports, entertainment, cultural landmarks, and parks, draws
thousands of visitors to the area each year. Private, corporate,
and chartered aircraft also use the airport when bringing in
visitors to Foxboro Stadium, home to the New England Patriots
football team and the Revolution Soccer team, as well as concert
goes to the nearby Tweeter Center. |

Norwood
Airport is a towered field with two runways. The main runway,
17/35, is a paved strip, 4007 feet long and 150 feet wide.
Runway 17/35 also offers a localizer navaid. The second runway,
10/28, is 4001 feet long and 75 feet wide. There are also
automatic weather and pilot activated lighting available on a
twenty-four hour basis. |
